Action taken against 8 employees missing from election training, Collector issued notice and sought answers

Gariaband. Voting is to be held in Gariaband district on 26th April, for which 1340 polling presiding officer employees were given training today. While the Collector gave instructions to give notice to eight employees who were absent from the training, while giving a strong message to those who wanted leave from election work, the Collector said that if anyone tries to avoid election work on medical grounds without being seriously ill, such employees will be punished. The investigation will be conducted by the Medical Board and if found wrong, strict action will be taken.

Training on voting operations was given by master trains at Veer Surendra Sai Mahavidyalaya, ITS College and Polytechnic College of the district headquarters. The entire process of voting was explained in detail. Collector Deepak Aggarwal reached all the rooms of the officers and employees undergoing training and asked various questions to the polling staff regarding voting after the training. Collector Deepak Aggarwal said that all the trainees should try operating the EVM and VVPAT machines themselves.
