According to the intention of the government, Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Aggarwal has directed all the police gazetted officers, station in-charges including in-charges of anti-crime and cyber units to stop smuggling of liquor coming from other states as well as in relation to people buying and selling liquor illegally. After investigation, instructions have been given to take action. In view of which, all the police gazetted officers of Raipur Police and in-charge ACCU. Along with collecting information in this regard, police station in-charges are also collecting informers and information is also being collected through other means.
In the same sequence, on 14.01.2024, the team of Urla Police Station visited B.S.U.P under Urla area. Helu Ram Dhruv, resident of B.S.U.P Colony, Urla Raipur, near the colony, was arrested and 35 pauvas of country liquor worth Rs. 2800/- were seized from his possession and crime number 23/24 section was registered against the accused in Police Station Urla. 34(2) Offense of Excise Act was registered and action was taken.
