Accused arrested with 9 liters of Mahua liquor

Raigarh. A person has been caught illegally selling Mahua liquor in the courtyard of his house in village Kolaibahar Jamgaon by the Chakradharnagar police team.

According to the information, Police Station Incharge Chakradharnagar Inspector Prashant Rao Aher received information from an informer last evening that a person in Kolaibahar Jamgaon is selling Mahua liquor illegally in his yard. On receiving the information, the police station in-charge, who had left for the rural tour, verified his staff and directed them to take action.

Chakradharnagar police team, after conducting a search in Kolaibahar Jamgaon, caught a person with illegal liquor in Bari, who gave his name as Ajamber Chauhan, father Sudrav Chauhan, age 37 years, Sakin, a resident of Kolaibahar Jamgaon police station Chakradharnagar Raigarh, from whose possession two plastic bags of five liters each were found. About 9 liters of Mahua liquor worth Rs 900/- was found in the box, which was seized and action has been taken under Section 34(2), 59(A) of the Excise Act in Chakradharnagar police station on the actions of accused Ajmar Chauhan.
