Gopalganj: Two people including the owner of the house died of suffocation while opening the shuttering of the toilet tank in Manjhagarh police station area of Gopalganj district of Bihar on Friday. Both the bodies were taken out of the tank with the help of JCB.
According to the police, Sudhir Dubey of Phulwaria village had called laborer Shamshad Mian, a resident of Kotwan village, to open the shuttering of his newly constructed toilet tank. As soon as Shamshad Mian opened the slab of the tank, he fell into the tank due to strong gas leakage. As soon as Shamshad fell into the tank, the house owner Sudhir Dubey also got down into the tank to save him. During this, both of them died on the spot due to suffocation. When a local person went to rescue them, he also fainted.
Manjhagarh police station in-charge Sangram Singh said that a laborer and a house owner died of suffocation while opening the shuttering of the toilet. Both the bodies and the unconscious youth were taken out of the tank with the help of JCB. The youth has been admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment. Police is investigating the matter.
