Abohar: 2 arrested for throwing acid on a youth

Punjab: City-1 police have arrested two men for throwing acid on a youth in Sant Nagar here. The accused have been identified as Aman Kumar, uncle of the victim, and Idgah Basti. The victim, Vikram, was seriously injured in the attack and was rushed to the civil hospital and later referred to AIIMS-Bathinda. Vikram’s father Rajinder Kumar told police in his complaint that Aman and Sagar barged into his house in search of his son. Finding him lying on the bed, they threw acid on his face and fled from the spot. A case has been registered under sections 124(1), 333 and 3(5) of the BNS. Both the suspects have been arrested, police said.
