Ambikapur. A passenger checking campaign was conducted for security arrangements. During this, more than 112 passengers were checked. It is known that under the campaign Operation Vishwas launched by Surguja Police, for better law and order in the district, prevention of crimes and protection of the district from external criminal elements, instructions were given to investigate the passengers and suspects who came to the district from other states to do business and live, and to register the travel records of all the passengers in the police station and take fingerprints and updated photographs. In the same sequence, the police team of the police station conducted an intensive checking campaign in the inner colonies and residential areas, commercial areas in all the police station outpost areas of the district including the district headquarters.
During the passenger checking campaign, more than 112 passengers residing on rent in various colonies and doing their business and other work by roaming from place to place were summoned by Surguja Police and their identity cards and other documents were checked. The police team physically verified the identity cards received from the travelers and instructed the house owners to submit the information related to the travelers to the police station. On arrival in the district, the travelers have to come to the concerned police station and register their travel and submit important facts like their occupation, place of work, mobile number, information of people identified at their permanent residence, mobile number etc. Along with this, fingerprints of the travelers were taken on the spot. The police team gave a strict warning to the travelers to maintain law and order, and strict legal action has been instructed to be taken if they are found involved in any immoral activities / crimes.
