Bilaspur. A young woman living in Malhar, Masturi area, went to her boyfriend’s house in Dhangawa three days ago. After two days there, the woman’s body was found hanging from the window of her room. Upon receiving information, the police took custody of the body and conducted a postmortem. The woman’s body has been handed over to her family. The family is protesting, alleging murder and demanding the arrest of her boyfriend and family.
Mallika Kurre, a resident of Malhar, Masturi area, left home on Tuesday, claiming to be going to a fair. She did not return. Shortly thereafter, her boyfriend, Raju Lahariya, a resident of Dhangawa, called her family and informed them that Mallika had arrived at his house. He asked the family to take her home, but they refused, saying they were leaving the girl behind. The woman remained at Raju’s house.
On Friday morning, her dead body was found hanging from a noose in the ventilator of a room in the house. Raju and his family members informed the people around about this. Also, the Kotwar was informed about this. Then Malhar police reached the spot. Police also informed the girl’s family about this. Then the girl’s family also reached Dhanganga. Accusing Raju and his family members of murder, the family members demanded their immediate arrest. On this, the police gave them advice and got the Panchnama of the dead body done. After this, the dead body was sent for post-mortem. After post-mortem, the dead body was sent to the girl’s village.
