A woman who slept with a lantern lit was burnt alive

It is being told that the woman was sleeping alone on a cot in her house, when this incident happened due to fire. 65-year-old elderly woman Pushpa Mandal, a resident of Santoshi Nagar Piprahi village under Balrampur police station, was sleeping alone in the house on Sunday night. Today on Monday morning, when the villagers saw smoke coming out of the house, they broke the door and entered inside.

Where they saw that the body of the elderly woman was completely burnt and lying under the cot, after which the villagers immediately informed the police about the incident. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took the body in their possession and sent it for postmortem. The police has started the investigation by registering the case. According to the villagers, the incident occurred when the woman was sleeping with a lantern lit under her cot.
