Mirzapur: A pickup vehicle parked on the side of the estate highway next to the house near Gram Panchayat Dohri village of Jamalpur area in Mirzapur caught fire in suspicious condition late on Tuesday night. Due to this the pickup was burnt to ashes.
Bharos Biyar, a resident of Dohri village of the area, drives the pickup truck of Santosh Yadav, a resident of Narayanpur in Chandauli district. On Tuesday night, after parking the pickup vehicle on the roadside near his house and having dinner, he went to sleep with the family at home. After around 12 o’clock late night, flames started rising from the pickup. Woke up hearing the commotion. On making noise, a crowd of people gathered on the spot. After a lot of hard work, the fire was controlled by pouring water on the burning pickup vehicle. By then the pickup was burnt to ashes. The front tyre, seat, cabin and engine of the pickup were burnt. The driver informed the PRV-112 police and the vehicle owner by phone. Dabak outpost in-charge Subash Chandra Boudh said that the matter has been informed, but Tahrir has not been received yet. The case is being investigated.
