Noida (IANS) | A joint team of Narcotics and Thana Sector-142 has arrested a smuggler who was supplying ganja to schools and colleges. Hemp worth Rs 1 lakh has been recovered from him. Narcotics team is interrogating the accused. Along with this, it is trying to find out from where this ganja is being supplied in NCR.
Taking information from beat policing and local intelligence, the smuggler was arrested on the basis of confidential information. His identity is Ajay Kumar Sah, son of Ganga Sah, a resident of Bihar. It has been arrested from Buddha Murti Tirahe near Sector 144 Metro Station. 9 kg of Ganja estimated value Rs 1 lakh has been recovered from the possession.
Earlier, Police Station Sector-113 had arrested a girl Varsha’s daughter Naresh Rana during checking near Sector 76 Metro. 600 grams of ganja was recovered from it. She used to supply ganja to school and college students from her bike. By targeting school and college students, these people even supply narcotics and earn huge profits.
