New Delhi (IANS) | A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death by three people in Delhi’s Ashok Vihar area following a dispute over a minor issue. An official gave this information on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Ashish, a resident of Model Town. He used to work on contract basis at Safdarjung Hospital.
According to the police, at around 9 pm on Sunday night, the Ashok Vihar police station was informed that a person with knife injuries was declared brought dead at the hospital, following which a police team was sent.
During interrogation, it was revealed that on Sunday, Ashish along with his brother Vishal (24) was going from the park near the railway track when three people stopped him.
An argument broke out between them and during the altercation, one of them stabbed Ashish with a knife, a senior police officer said. After this they fled.
A case has been registered under sections 302 and 34 and one of the accused, Amit (22), a resident of Lal Bagh, Azadpur, has been arrested, the officer said.
An operation has been launched to nab the remaining accused, who are absconding, the officer said.
