A massive fire broke out in an electric car going to Basna via Raipur

Mahasamund. A massive fire broke out in an electric car coming from the capital to Basna on Saturday. Within no time the car was burnt to ashes. According to the information received, the incident took place on Basna Saraipali road.

There were four people in the car. The driver stopped the car after seeing the warning signal in the car before the incident. Immediately everyone came out of the car. Took out the stuff from the car and stood at a distance. The cause of the fire has not been known yet.

A video of car catching fire from Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh is going viral on social media, in which an electric car is seen burning in flames. Let us tell you that this incident took place this afternoon at Jagdishpur over bridge of Basna police station area of Mahasamund district.

According to the information, this Volvo C40 Recharge SUV electric car belongs to Saurabh Rathore, a resident of the capital Raipur, who was going from Raipur towards Sarsiwa along with his companions Pramod Shukla, Varun Chugani, Vinay Dewan. Meanwhile, his car suddenly stopped while moving near Jagdishpur over bridge under Basna police station area.

After this, when Saurabh tried to switch on the car again, its rear part caught fire and within no time this car worth Rs 65 lakh was completely burnt. It was fortunate that Saurabh and his companions came out of the car in time and saved their lives. Otherwise a major disaster could have happened. After receiving information about the incident, Basna police reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
