Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad’s Crime Branch has seized a huge consignment of illicit liquor being transported from Punjab to other states via Uttar Pradesh. The value of the seized liquor is Rs 30 lakh. Whereas, a smuggler has also been arrested.
Illegal liquor was being transported in a canter, which was seized from Muradnagar. 501 boxes of different brands were recovered from the canter.
The arrested accused has been identified as Anoop Singh. He has failed sixth grade and works as a truck driver.
The accused told the police that he used to smuggle illicit liquor from Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh and supply it to Bihar.
