A group of nine elephants attacked six cattle

Surajpur. A group of nine elephants has been roaming in the Udaipur forest area for about 10 days. These elephants are continuously targeting cattle. On Tuesday night, a group of elephants were coming out of Ramsagar Patra forest of Maheshpur towards the settlement. The villagers stopped the elephants from moving towards the settlement by lighting a fire at Maheshpur Shiv Mandir Chowk.

The elephants stopped going towards the settlement and started moving towards the Godha pond located on the edge of the forest. Meanwhile, the elephants noticed six bulls tied by Saint Ram’s father Sonu Ghasia on the bank of the pond. The elephants brutally attacked those bulls, killed three bulls, crushed them and injured three other bulls. A day ago, the same elephants badly damaged the Jhala of a villager Mukesh built inside the forest in village Fungi and also damaged the house of Ramkhelavan and Samundar Sai. Due to the alertness of the forest staff, loss of life has been prevented so far but the cattle have not been saved from elephant attacks. There is an atmosphere of fear in the nearby villages due to such aggressive behavior and incidents by elephants.

The elephant is currently in Alkapuri teak garden. The answer to the question why elephants are becoming aggressive has to be found. Because this time a group of nine elephants is causing great harm to the cattle. Till now about five cattle have been killed. Forest staff are making announcements about measures to prevent elephants, continuous monitoring is being done, villages with possible movement of elephants are being alerted, and if necessary, they are also taken to safe places. Under the leadership of trainee DFO cum in-charge ranger Akshay Bhosale, the forest staff, Deputy Forest Range Ajit Singh, Forester Parmeshwar Ram, Range Assistant Udaipur Chandrabhan Singh, Forest Guard Dinesh Tiwari, Rajesh Rajwade, Bharat Singh, Dhaneshwar etc. are seen active.
