A girl who came to the city to work was raped, the accused was arrested

Surguja. Police has arrested the accused who raped the victim who was returning home after work in Surguja. After the incident, the accused had threatened to kill the victim. After the victim’s complaint in the police station, the accused has been arrested. The name of the accused is Badal Kujur. The incident is from Gandhinagar police station area.

Actually, the victim came to Gandhinagar police station on 13 November and filed a report that she was returning to her rented room after work in the evening. During this time, Badal Kujur, a person living nearby, caught the victim and took her to an empty ground near the room and raped her. He also threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident and fled. On the report of the victim, crime number 572/24 under section 64(1), 351(3) BNS was registered in Gandhinagar police station and investigation was taken up. During the investigation, the police team traced the address of the accused in the case, Badal Kujur, and arrested him and interrogated him. The accused revealed his name as Badal Kujur, age 21 years, resident of Mendrakala Khurd, present address Gorsidbra police station Gandhinagar. When the accused was questioned about the incident, he confessed to forcefully raping the victim and threatening to kill her. The accused was arrested and sent to judicial custody after evidence of crime was found against him. Gandhinagar police station in-charge Inspector Pradeep Jaiswal, Sub Inspector Rashmi Singh, constable Rishabh Singh were involved in the entire operation.
