Threatened by showing knife, accused arrested immediately

Dhamtari: The accused who was threatening passers-by by showing knife has been arrested immediately. Kotwali police received information from an informant through mobile that a person wearing blue shirt and grey coloured pants, whose age is about 20 to 22 years, is threatening passers-by by waving an iron sharp butt knife weapon in the air in a common place near the cowshed behind Bilai Mata temple, on receiving this information, immediately along with the staff left and reached the place told by the informer and went to the witnesses’ place of incident near the cowshed behind Bilai Mata temple, saw that a person wearing blue shirt and grey coloured pants, whose age is about 20 to 22 years, was threatening passers-by by waving an iron sharp butt knife weapon in the air in his hand.

The police and witnesses surrounded and caught the person and on asking his name and address he told his name as Manish Kumar Sahu alias Mani Rokda father Chetan Lal Sahu age 23 years resident of Devangan Chowk Hatkeshar Ward Dhamtari Police Station City Kotwali District Dhamtari from whose possession a sharp iron butt knife weapon was seized in front of witnesses and on finding sufficient evidence of commission of the crime by the accused Manish Sahu alias Mani Rokda a crime was registered against him in Police Station City Kotwali Dhamtari under case number 303/24 section:- 25, 27 Arms Act and the accused has been sent to judicial remand.
