Patwari injured in attack, husband and wife arrested
Jashpur: The couple who beat up the Patwari in Kunkuri has been arrested and sent to jail. Both husband and wife had abused and assaulted the Patwari in Kunkuri Tehsil office. On the complaint of the victim Patwari, a case was registered under sections 296, 221, 132, 115(2), 3(5) and 3(2)(5), 3(1)(d) SC/ST Act and both were arrested. Kunkuri Tehsil Office
Actually, Patwari Placidius Toppo lodged a report in Kunkuri police station on July 31 that he is posted as a Patwari in Kudukela Narayanpur. He had gone to the office of Tehsildar Kunkuri for official work when Ishwar Yadav and his wife Bhumati Yadav both came and started abusing and arguing saying that the map of the land has been cut wrongly. During this, keeping in mind the decorum of the Tehsildar office, the Patwari requested to speak softly.
After this, both the husband and wife and the applicant came outside the office premises, there also both the husband and wife together used indecent language with the Patwari. Both the husband and wife were explained by the people present in the premises. Then the applicant went to the motorcycle showroom with one of his friends, there also both the husband and wife reached from behind and beat up the Patwari using indecent language on caste basis. Not only this, they threw the government document due to which it got torn. On the report of the victim Patwari, a crime was registered in Kunkuri police station under sections 296, 221, 132, 115(2), 3(5) and 3(2)(5), 3(1)(d) SC/ST Act and investigation was taken up.
During the investigation of the case, the Kunkuri police station took prompt action and caught the couple within a few hours. During interrogation, he confessed to committing the crime. Accused Ishwar Yadav, age 35 years, wife Bhumati Yadav, age 32 years, both residents of Kudukela police station Narayanpur, were arrested on August 1 and sent to judicial custody.
