Mahua liquor was being made in the mountains, excise team caught it

Mahasamund. During the action against the sale of illegal liquor, on the information of illegal hand kiln manufacturing of Mahua liquor in the mountains near village Kotdwari Kalidarha Dam under Circle Saraipali area, the accused Hiralal Seth, aged 32 years, resident of Kotdwari, was kept in 7 sacks from the illegal hand kiln run by Kotdwari. Mahua passed, 35 kg each, total 245 kg Mahua Lahan, worth Rs 12250 and Mahua liquor kept in polythene in four sacks, 35 liters each, total 140 bulk liters, worth Rs 28000, total market value of Rs 40250, Illegal hand kiln Mahua liquor and Mahua Lahan. It was seized from the possession of the accused and a case was registered against the accused under Section 34(1)(a)(f), 34(2), 59(a) of the Excise Act and the matter was taken up for investigation.

The above action was taken under the leadership of Uttam Buddha Bhardwaj, Assistant District Excise Officer, Mandal Saraipali and Excise Sub Inspector Shivshankar. This action was taken by Excise Constable Raj Kishore Pandey and all the Excise staff Saraipali under the guidance of District Excise Officer Mohit Kumar Jaiswal.
