Deputy Prime Minister of New Zealand visited Akshardham Temple

Gandhinagar: New Zealand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters visited Akshardham Temple with a delegation on Monday. During this, the guests were welcomed by Vishwaharidas Swami and Kothari Swami by garlanding them with flowers. New Zealand’s High Commissioner to India David Pines was also present on this occasion. Manish Mistry, senior volunteer of Swaminarayan Temple, gave the Deputy Prime Minister and members of his delegation a tour of the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple. Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters praised the architecture of the temple, saying it represents India’s spiritual and cultural traditions. It promotes harmony and tolerance.
After this Deputy Prime Minister Abhishek went to Mandapam. Here he consecrated the idol of the teenage yogi form of Lord Swaminarayan. From here he reached inside Akshardham Mahamandir and paid homage to the idol of Lord Swami Narayan. The Deputy Prime Minister praised Pramukh Swami Maharaj for building the temple to give the message of love, peace and tolerance. He thanked the management of Akshardham Temple for organizing his visit to the temple.
