Paths of development open to special backward tribes
Mahasamund. Pradhan Mantri Tribal Justice Mahabhiyan (PM Janman) scheme by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India will open new avenues for the development of special backward tribes. Now with the access of officials to their homes and settlements, solutions to their problems will be accessible. Under this scheme, it will be ensured to get the benefits of about 22 schemes of the Government of India.
They will be sure to get the benefits of pucca house for all, tap water in every house, electricity till home, education, skill development, health, livelihood and other ambitious schemes. Kamar tribe resides in three development blocks of the district, Mahasamund, Bagbahra and Pithora.
Of these, 461 families whose total number is 1687 reside in 41 villages of Mahasamund. Similarly, 390 families, whose number is 1385, reside in 32 villages of Bagbahra development block. 44 families with 168 members are residing in two gram panchayats of Pithora development block. To promote the scheme, awareness is being created through wall writing in Chhattisgarhi dialect including Hindi. Wall writing has been done in 275 such para-tolas.
Under the direction of Collector Prabhat Malik and District Panchayat CEO Shri S. Under the guidance of Alok, so far 26 camps have been organized in the district to provide benefits to the people of all the special backward tribal groups identified by the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana. The district administration is planning an action plan and organizing camps in PVTG settlements. In these camps, deprived and eligible beneficiaries are being benefited from the public welfare schemes run by the Central and State Government.
So far, 2682 beneficiaries from special backward tribes have participated in the camp. Aadhaar cards of 301 people and Ayushman cards of 602 people were made in 26 camps. Registration of 72 farmers under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Kisan Credit Card issued to 15 farmers and new accounts of 168 people were opened under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. Under PM Matru Vandana Yojana, 10 women were registered and ration cards were distributed in 304 Kamar families.
The departmental officers and employees are giving detailed information to the villagers present about the work being done for the special backward tribes under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana. Under this, important activities like drinking water, housing, roads, nutrition through Anganwadi, skill development for livelihood promotion will be implemented in the settlements of such communities in coordination with various departments. Women employees and self-help groups are also helping in bringing the people of Special Backward Tribes to the camp and the team of district and block level nodal officers formed for regular monitoring of the camp is inspecting the camp and ensuring the presence of the concerned departments. Is
