Patwari took bribe of Rs 1600, instructions to suspend him

Rajim. Chief guest MLA Rohit Sahu, who arrived at the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra organized at Gram Panchayat Tarighat, was grandly welcomed by the villagers with music and fireworks. Various departments had set up stalls in the programme, where villagers applied for employment-oriented demands including their basic facilities.

In the programme, a farmer accused the Patwari in front of the MLA of taking bribe. Expressing displeasure on this, the MLA said that Naib Tehsildar Shashi Narmada should be investigated and immediately suspended.

Let us tell you that during the program, Tarighat resident farmer Shyam Lal Sahu raised the issue of taking a bribe of Rs 1600 from Patwari Komal Lal Verma on the open stage. The farmer talked about the money but was not able to say how much money he had taken, on which the MLA asked him to speak without any fear.

Then the farmer told that when the Patwari informed about the existence of 5 Katha land in his name, he said that by correcting the records, you will get the land. Due to this, when he asked for money, I gave him Rs 1600 due to poverty and poor living.
