Railway gangman killed by lightning
Gorella Pendra Marwahi. Monsoon has reached Chhattisgarh. On Friday, the Meteorological Department had issued a warning of heavy rain and lightning. In Gaurela Pendra Marwahi, a railway gangman died due to this lightning. After it started raining, the gangman stood under the tree to avoid the rain.
Gangman Nilesh Patel was moving ahead doing his work as usual on the Pendrarod Harri Venkatnagar rail route. Then suddenly the weather changed and it started raining heavily with thunder. Due to which Nilesh started searching for a safe place to avoid rain and stood under a Jamun tree. Meanwhile, the rain became more intense with thunder. Nilesh Patel fell there shortly. Some time after the rain subsided, Nilesh’s companions who were present at some distance from him, their eyes fell on Nilesh. When those people reached Nilesh, Nilesh fell unconscious. Immediately 112 emergency service was contacted.
After reaching the ambulance, Nilesh was immediately taken to the district hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead. According to doctors, Nilesh died due to lightning. Gaurela police reached the district hospital and sent the dead body for postmortem after conducting panchnama. Where after investigation the dead body was handed over to the relatives. Further action is going on in the matter.
