During the question hour on the 11th day of the budget session of the Himachal Legislative Assembly, the issue of robbery with the orchardists during the apple season and arbitrariness in the CA store of Adani Group came up. Theog MLA Kuldeep Singh Rathore asked the Horticulture Minister that how many CA stores of Adani are running in Shimla district and whether the rules are being followed, in which Adani’s CA stores were given Rs 1598.79 lakh by the National Horticulture Board without MoU. . The matter of giving subsidy under NABARD has come to the fore.
MLA Kuldeep Rathore said that Adani had assured the help of farmers and gardeners on the establishment of CA stores, but the opposite has happened. During the apple season, Adani Group remains silent and fixes the price in the mid-season, arbitrariness is done in fixing the price, the work was given without MoU. That’s why the government should review the matter and make an MoU again. The exploitation of farmers and gardeners should be stopped.
Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi said that Adani Group has set up CA STORES at Sainj, Mehndali and Revali in Shimla district, Rs 1598.79 lakh to Adani Group from National Horticulture Board. Subsidy was given under NABARD, MoU was not signed in this context. Horticulture Minister assured that appropriate action will be taken for violation of rules.
