Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, and the Congress party. Accusing the Congress of practicing the politics of appeasement, he raised several questions. Chief Minister Dhami stated that the Congress is troubled by the transparent provision of employment and the existence of a fair system.
The Chief Minister remarked that the Congress ought to address issues concerning the public interest; instead, the party consistently raises matters aimed at creating confusion within society. Targeting Rahul Gandhi, he noted that the silence of Congress leaders on certain issues raises questions.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami asked why Rahul Gandhi offers no reaction when threatening statements are made by Maulanas. He questioned why Congress leaders adopt varying stances on such matters.
He asserted that the law must apply equally to everyone in the country and that any form of threat or objectionable rhetoric should be opposed. The Chief Minister alleged that the Congress remains silent on certain issues due to vote-bank politics.
Targeting Congress on the ‘Muslim University’ Issue
Referring to the 2022 Assembly elections, CM Dhami questioned the Congress, asking why the party had spoken about establishing a Muslim University at that time.
He stated that a state like Uttarakhand requires development, employment, and equal opportunities, yet the Congress raises issues that divide society. The Chief Minister affirmed that the BJP follows the policy of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas (Together with all, Development for all) and that the government is working for all sections of society.
Targeting Congress on Employment and Transparency
The Chief Minister stated that the Congress is uncomfortable with transparent recruitment and employment processes. He claimed that the BJP government has taken numerous steps to ensure transparency in recruitment.

He remarked that the Congress lacks concrete evidence regarding the alleged purification. The Chief Minister accused the Congress of unnecessarily attempting to politicize the issue.
Raised the Issue of Sloganeering on the Ramlila Stage
Chief Minister Dhami also referred to the slogans allegedly related to ‘Jihad’ raised on the Ramlila stage during the Congress event in Haldwani. He questioned why such slogans were raised on a religious platform.
He stated that the Congress should provide an explanation regarding this issue. The Chief Minister emphasized that maintaining communal harmony in society is the responsibility of all political parties.

CM Dhami remarked that a lack of respect for its own senior leaders has been a part of the Congress party’s history. He alleged that internal discord has plagued the Congress for a long time.
