Seat-sharing talks will begin soon: CM Stalin

Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said that seat-sharing talks within the DMK alliance will begin soon.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin visited his home constituency of Kolathur in Chennai on Tuesday and inaugurated several completed projects. He also laid the foundation stone for new projects. When he met with the people of his constituency, they urged him to contest the elections from Kolathur again.

Later, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin told reporters: “It is disappointing that Tamil Nadu has not been given importance in the Union Budget. Therefore, the people will teach the BJP a lesson in the assembly elections.” He added that seat-sharing talks within the DMK alliance would begin soon.

When reporters asked him how he viewed new adversaries in politics, the Chief Minister replied, “I don’t consider anyone an enemy in politics.”

It is believed that the Chief Minister was indirectly responding to the statement by Thavaka leader Vijay that the DMK is a political enemy.

When will the committee be formed?: It is expected that a committee will soon be formed by the DMK for seat-sharing talks. During the Lok Sabha elections, a committee was formed under the leadership of DMK Lok Sabha leader T.R. Baalu. Ministers K.N. Nehru and A. Raja were also part of that committee. It appears that the same committee might be reconstituted.
