Arunachal: Project Suvidha 2.0 transforms first IRBN into eco-friendly wellness hub

Arunachal Pradesh: To promote employee well-being and institutional excellence, Inspector General of Police (Operations), PHQ Itanagar, Apurva Bitin, IPS, inaugurated Project Suvidha 2.0 at the 1st IRBN Battalion Headquarters (BHQ) here today, January 15.
This initiative, fueled by the vision of the DGP and senior PHQ officials, has transformed the campus into a self-sustaining, eco-friendly place where officers, jawans, and families come together with great enthusiasm.
Project Suvidha 2.0 reflects a larger vision: to transform the 1st IRBN BHQ, Namsangmukh, into a people-centric ecosystem that promotes physical fitness, social cohesion, and operational resilience. Its mission is to enhance the ease of living and happiness index through holistic, inclusive development for all employees and families.
Based on a robust four-pillar framework, the project prioritizes:
Health and Well-Being: Promoting fitness, mental wellness, and a healthy lifestyle.
Community Living and Social Integration: Fostering camaraderie and inclusion.
Targeted Welfare and Development: Providing specialized facilities tailored to specific needs.
Self-Reliant Ecosystem: Building sustainable infrastructure for continued resilience.
Significant Facilities Unveiled at a Grand Ceremony
The inauguration highlighted the latest assets that strengthen daily life and training:
Multipurpose hall for a variety of community uses.
Indoor gym hall for strength training.
Wet and dry canteen-cum-clothing store for essentials.
Mess-cum-dining hall for enhanced dining.
The 1st IRBN created the Obstacle Training Facility.
The Nature Walk-cum-Children’s Park was created through a CSR initiative.
Commendation certificates were also presented to those who performed exceptionally well, encouraging and recognizing their unwavering dedication.
Apurva Bitin, IPS, along with Sachin Kumar Singhal, IPS, Commandant, 1st IRBN; Irak Bagra, IPS, Commandant, 4th IRBN, Julang; and S. Singpho, IPS, SP (Planning), PHQ Itanagar, and other senior officers were present at the event. Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, they praised Commandant Singhal’s visionary leadership and the unit’s collective resolve.
