Napoli celebrates in Jeddah: They win the Italian Super Cup.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Napoli won the Italian Super Cup on Monday, with David Neres scoring two goals to give the reigning Serie A champions a 2-0 victory over Bologna in the final in Jeddah.
Brazilian winger Neres gave Napoli the lead before halftime with a spectacular long-range shot against last season’s Italian Cup winners.
He scored again in the second half when Bologna goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia attempted a pass from the back, and Neres intercepted the weak pass.
Neres finished the Super Cup with three goals, including one in the 2-0 semi-final win against AC Milan last week.
This is the third time Napoli has won the competition, having previously lifted the trophy in 1990 and 2014.
“The lads deserve congratulations,” Napoli coach Antonio Conte told Sport Mediaset.
“They showed how much they wanted this trophy for the fans, and now we’ll have a great Christmas celebration with a new trophy in the cabinet.”
Traditionally contested between the Serie A and Italian Cup champions, the Italian Super Cup has included the league and cup runners-up since 2023.
The four-team tournament is contracted to be held in Saudi Arabia until 2029.
Napoli, who are two points behind Serie A leaders Inter Milan, will return to league action against Cremonese on Sunday. Bologna will play Sassuolo at home.
