Delhi Blast Case: NIA Court Extends Custody of Three Accused for Four Days

The NIA has extended the custody of four accused in the suicide attack case near the Red Fort in Delhi. After the four-day custody already imposed on the four was over, the investigating officers produced them in the NIA special court. The court extended their custody on the request of the NIA officials.
The accused whose custody has been extended include Dr. Muzamil Ganaiah, Dr. Adil Rather, Dr. Shaheena Saeed, and religious preacher Maulvi Mufti Ifran Ahmed. Officials said that they produced the accused before the NIA Special Court at Patiala House Court, and the court extended their custody for another four days.
The court had earlier remanded the accused in judicial custody. After the end of that custody, the NIA produced them in the court and gave them 10 days of NIA custody. Now, after the end of that 10-day custody, it has been extended by another four days.
Meanwhile, last month, a terrorist came in a car with explosives and carried out a suicide attack near the Red Fort. 13 people lost their lives in that attack. Many were injured.
