Paddy Purchase Festival brings happiness and relief

Kabirdham. The paddy procurement festival, which began in the state on November 15th, has brought joy to farmers. Khem Singh Patel, a farmer from Khirsali village in Kabirdham district, has received significant financial relief by selling his produce under the paddy procurement scheme. As a result of farmer-friendly policies and a transparent system under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the paddy procurement process has become simpler and more accessible, directly benefiting farmers.

Khem explains that the online token system has alleviated the crowds at procurement centers and allowed him to easily sell 86.40 quintals of paddy without any hassle. The government-fixed purchase rate of 21 quintals of paddy per acre and the price of 3,100 rupees per quintal gave Khem Patel full recognition for his hard work. This income from approximately 5 acres of land has alleviated a major worry for his family.

Khem Patel explains that last year he built a permanent house for his family—his parents, wife, and two children—and had some outstanding debt. With timely payment for paddy, he is now going to pay off his remaining house loan first. Khem Patel says that the transparent system, accurate prices, and prompt direct payment of funds into bank accounts are instilling confidence in farmers. According to him, this government system is not only providing relief to farmers but also ensuring proper respect for their hard-earned money.
