Health Minister Jaiswal inspected government hospitals in Kondagaon and Farasgaon
Raipur. State Public Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal today conducted a surprise inspection of District Hospital Kondagaon and Community Health Center Farasgaon during his stay in Kondagaon district. During this, Health Minister Jaiswal interacted with the patients and enquired about their well-being and the medical facilities being provided there. The Health Minister directed the Health Department officials to provide better treatment facilities to the patients reaching the hospital. During this, for the expansion of better health facilities, the Health Minister announced the construction of an operation theater at the District Hospital Kondagaon at a cost of Rs 80 lakh.
He said that providing better health facilities to the citizens of the state is the priority of the government. During the inspection, Vice President of Bastar Development Authority and local MLA Lata Usendi, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Medical Service Corporation Limited Mr. Deepak Mhaske, Health Secretary Mr. Amit Kataria and Collector Mrs. Nupur Rashi Panna were also present with him. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal inspected various wards including emergency medical room, major OT ward, surgical ward in the district hospital. He took necessary information about the facilities available in the hospital, availability of medicines, cleanliness, food provided to the patients, medical staff and other necessary information. Taking information about the progress of the repair work going on in the district hospital, he instructed the officials of CGMSC to submit a report within a week. In view of the number of patients in the district hospital, he talked about increasing the number of beds and constructing new operation theaters. After this, he reached the sonography room of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department in the Mother and Child Hospital and took information about the work and directed for the necessary arrangements for systematic sonography work. Along with this, to overcome the shortage of staff in the hospital, he instructed to expedite the recruitment that can be done at the district level and talked about recruitment of the remaining posts at the state level.
