Cricketer Macha Datta Reddy has been selected for the Andhra Senior ‘A’ team.

Anantapur: Anantapur cricketer Macha Datta Reddy has been selected for the Andhra seniors ‘A’ team following brilliant performances in ACA Inter-Zonal and Inter-District competitions.

Displaying stellar batting and wicket-keeping form, he scored 1,675 runs this season with two centuries and 14 half-centuries. He also set a state record as the first Andhra player to smash 114 sixes in a single season.

A former BCCI National Cricket Academy trainee and APL Tungabhadra Warriors vice-captain, Datta Reddy has consistently progressed through Andhra’s age-group ranks to secure his senior team spot.
