Waterfall attracts tourists to Balod

Balod. After continuous rains, the famous waterfall which had dried up in the forest of Naragaon in Balod district has started flowing once again with full splendor. This 40 feet high waterfall located behind the Maa Siyadevi temple has become a center of attraction for natural beauty lovers and devotees these days.

Every year during the rainy season, this waterfall flows with full force, while the rest of the time it dries up. But as soon as the rain stops, its enchanting view is attracting people. Not only local people but tourists from nearby districts and far-flung areas have also started arriving here. The calm and green environment around the waterfall makes it an ideal tourist destination.

This place is a wonderful confluence of religious and natural beauty. The ancient temple of Maa Siyadevi located here is a big center of faith for the devotees. It is believed that the idol of Maa Siyadevi installed in this temple is about five thousand years old which makes it even more unique. During the rainy season, devotees and tourists get the opportunity to visit the temple and admire the beauty of the waterfall simultaneously.
