Union Minister of State Savitri Thakur met CM Sai

Raipur. Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur paid a courtesy call on CM Vishnudev Sai today at the Chief Minister’s residence in the capital Raipur. During this, Chief Minister Sai discussed in detail with Thakur about various schemes being run for the welfare of women and children in the state.

Chief Minister Sai said that the Chhattisgarh government is focusing especially on empowering women and children under the resolution of the all-round development of the state. He informed that 159 Anganwadi centers are being successfully operated by the Women and Child Development Department under the Niyyad Nellnar Yojana in Naxal-affected Bijapur, Sukma, Kanker, Dantewada and Narayanpur districts. This initiative is playing an important role in taking the government’s schemes directly to the last line in those remote areas.
