Rajya Sabha elections: When will DMK candidates file their nominations?

Tamil Nadu : DMK candidates contesting the Rajya Sabha elections will file their nominations on the 4th. The nomination filing process will end on June 9.
DMK alliance candidates are contesting four of the six vacant Rajya Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu. DMK candidates P. Wilson, SR Sivalingam and Salma, with Makkal Nidhi Maiyam party leader Kamal Haasan as the fourth candidate will file their nominations to contest the Rajya Sabha elections. DMK sources said all of them will file their nominations on the 4th.
The last date for filing nominations is June 9. Council Additional Secretary P. Subramaniam has been appointed as the Returning Officer and Council Joint Secretary K. Ramesh as the Assistant Returning Officer. Scrutiny of nominations will be held on June 10. The last date for withdrawal of nominations will be June 12 at 3 pm.
If only six candidates have filed valid nominations for the six seats, they will be declared elected unopposed on the same day.
Returning Officer P. Subramanian has announced that if there is a contest in the election, polling will be held on June 19 from 9 am to 4 pm at the Council Committee Meeting Room in the Secretariat.
While the DMK and Makkal Needhi Maiam have announced four candidates each, the AIADMK has announced candidates for the remaining two seats.
