Andhra Pradesh budget fails to fulfil promises, alleges Botsa Satyanarayana

Former minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MLC Botsa Satyanarayana has strongly criticized the budget presented by the Andhra Pradesh government in the Assembly today. He alleged that the budget failed to do justice to any sector and expressed deep disappointment over its contents.
Botsa Satyanarayana claimed that the budget was filled with self-praise and criticism of the previous government. “All I see in this budget is the Chief Minister and his son being praised, while the past administration is being blamed,” he remarked. Calling this approach unfortunate, he asserted that the government had neglected its responsibilities.
He further pointed out that the government had previously promised to provide ₹1,500 per month to women aged between 18 and 50 years, but there was no mention of this scheme in the budget. He also criticized the inadequate allocation of funds for the Rythu Bharosa scheme, stating that ₹12,000 crore would be required to distribute ₹20,000 to 52 lakh farmers, yet the budget allocation was insufficient.
Botsa Satyanarayana also highlighted the absence of provisions for free travel for women in APSRTC buses, despite earlier assurances. He compared the new budget to the previous YSRCP government’s tenure, noting that ₹3,000 crore had been allocated for price stabilization funds earlier, whereas only ₹300 crore was earmarked in the current budget.
Concluding his remarks, he stated that this budget does not serve the people’s interests or provide justice to them.
