2 bookies arrested near Medicine Hospital
Raipur. Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh has directed all the police gazetted officers and station in-charges including the in-charge anti-crime and cyber unit to completely curb gambling and betting by tracing out those running gambling, betting and online betting and take action against them.
In this connection, the team of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit received information that some people are running betting near Medicine Hospital located under New Rajendra Nagar Police Station area. On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and New Rajendra Nagar Police Station conducted a raid at the place told by the informer. During the raid, 02 people were found present, who were running betting through Satta Patti. During interrogation, the persons told their names to be Pawan Mangalani and Gopal Dhamecha. On which both the accused were arrested and satta slips, pen and cash amount of Rs 5100/- were seized from their possession and action was taken against the accused by registering a crime number 460/24 under section 6 of Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act 2022 in New Rajendra Nagar police station.
