Traffic police motivated the students of Dhamtari Polytechnic College

Dhamtari. On the instructions of the Superintendent of Police to promote road safety and make the students aware of traffic rules, the Deputy Superintendent of Police Traffic today on 06.12.2024 reached the special camp organized by the NSS students of Rudri Polytechnic College in village Madamsilli Bhothapara and made the NSS students and the students of village Bhothapara High School aware of the traffic rules and told them to follow the traffic rules and about the quotation given by Swami Vivekananda “Utho Jago Aage Badho Jab Tak Lakshya Prapti Na Ho Jaye” and study the biographies of great men and follow the things told by them and implement them in life.

In this work, Master Trainer Sauni. Suresh Netam defined traffic to the students and teachers present there and gave information about the history of manual and electrical traffic signals. He told them that when the light on the signal is green, it means we have to proceed, when the light is yellow, then you have to start the vehicle in the stop line and get ready, or if you have gone ahead of the stop line then you have to cross the road at a high speed, when the red light is on, stop the vehicle and stand at the stop line, always park the vehicle on the stop line, do not park the vehicle on the zebra crossing, this line has been made for those who cross the road on foot.

Similarly, while making people aware of the rules of walking on the road, it was told that one should always walk on the left, one should walk at least one behind the other and should not walk in a group, one should always be cautious while walking, mobile, headphones should not be used, never ride with three passengers, never drive without helmet, never drive without license, minor children should not drive, do not compete with friends at the speed of the vehicle etc. Along with this, while making people aware of the main causes of accidents, it was told that most of the road accidents happen due to speeding, careless overtaking, negligent driving, driving after consuming alcohol, along with this, by giving detailed information to the students about the golden hour, if they find an injured person in a road accident during the journey, they should help him in every possible way and take him to the hospital and be a good person, and they were made aware of the process of making a driving license. The students present were made aware of the various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act and the amount of fines, and were told that if a person drives a vehicle without a license, then the fine will be Rs. 1000, for overspeeding the fine will be Rs. 500 to Rs. 1000, for three people riding on a two-wheeler the fine will be Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000, etc. They were told to follow traffic rules and also motivate their family members, relatives and neighbors to follow traffic rules.

In the said program, more than 150 students and teachers of Polytechnic College National Service Scheme and Bhothapara School, K.R. Markam, Prof. Dadsena and from the traffic branch, Sub Inspector Bhenuram Verma, R. Junaid Khan, Santosh Thakur were present.
