Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh told ANI on September 17 that an Army Major and his fiancée came to Bharatpur Police Station in distress.

When they reached the police station, they got upset. He started talking aggressively to the officer and started shouting at him. The woman behaved inappropriately towards the concerned police officer at the police station. People were harassed at the police station. He (the candidate for Army Chief) was clearly not in a good mental state and was drunk. He started threatening the officers. The woman hit a police officer who tried to stop her and bit his finger. When he could not control himself, the IIC came and misbehaved with him. Her male friend also started arguing. So a complaint was lodged against them. “The woman was arrested in several cases,” Singh told the news agency.
