PM Modi to flag off Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express on April 25

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu from April 24. According to the itinerary released by the Prime Minister’s Office, on April 24 at around 11.30 am, PM Modi will participate in an event on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, where he will lay the foundation stone of projects worth about Rs 19,000 crore and dedicate them to the nation. do.
Sharing details, the PMO said, the Prime Minister, during his visit to Rewa in Madhya Pradesh, will participate in the National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations and address all Gram Sabhas and Panchayati Raj Institutions across the country.
“During the event, the Prime Minister will inaugurate an integrated eGramSwaraj and GeM portal for public procurement at the Panchayat level. eGramSwaraj – Government eMarketplace integration aims to enable Panchayats to procure their goods and services through GeM, eGramSwaraj platform,” the PMO said.
The Prime Minister will hand over around 35 lakh SVAMITVA property cards to the beneficiaries. After this event, around 1.25 crore property cards would have been distributed under the SVAMITVA scheme in the country, including the cards distributed here. Taking a step towards fulfilling the vision of achieving ‘Housing for All’, the Prime Minister will participate in the ‘Griha Pravesh’ program of over 4 lakh beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation various rail projects worth about Rs 4200 crore. The projects to be dedicated include 100 per cent rail electrification in Madhya Pradesh as well as various doubling, gauge conversion and electrification projects. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Gwalior station. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of projects worth about Rs 7,000 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
On April 25 at around 10:30 am, he will flag off Kerala’s first Vande Bharat Express between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod at Thiruvananthapuram Central Station. During the event, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stones for various rail projects, including the redevelopment of Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode and Varkala Sivagiri railway stations; Comprehensive development of Thiruvananthapuram area including Nimon and Kochuveli and increase in sectional speed of Thiruvananthapuram-Shoranur section.
Apart from this, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of Digital Science Park in Thiruvananthapuram. The Digital Science Park is envisaged as a premier research facility for developing digital products and services by industry and business units in collaboration with academia. As a third generation Science Park, the Digital Science Park will have common facilities to support the development of products in the field of Industry 4.0 technologies such as AI, data analytics, cyber security, smart materials etc.
The state-of-the-art infrastructure will support high-end applied research by industries and co-development of products in collaboration with universities. The initial investment for Phase-I of the project is approximately Rs.200 crore, while the total project outlay is estimated to be approximately Rs.1515 crore. At around 4 pm, the Prime Minister will visit the Namo Institute of Medical Education and Research and at around 4:30 pm, he will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation various development projects worth over Rs 4,850 crore in Silvassa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. After this, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Devka Seafront in Daman at around 6 pm.
