Ghaziabad. The troubles of Chandrashekhar Azad, president of Azad Samaj Party and MP from Nagina Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh, have increased once again in an old case. Ghaziabad’s MP-MLA Special Court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Chandrashekhar Azad. This case is related to the alleged assault and abuse of a young man in the year 2018. This matter has again come into discussion after the court issued non-bailable warrant again.

The matter is about eight years old. In the year 2018, a case was registered against a young man on allegations of assault and abuses. The hearing of this case is going on in the MP-MLA special court of Ghaziabad. Chandrashekhar Azad’s name also came up as an accused in the case. Now during the judicial process, the court has once again issued a non-bailable warrant against him.

This order of the court is related to ensuring the presence of Chandrashekhar Azad in the case. After the non-bailable warrant is issued, the legal process is taken forward to present the concerned person before the court. However, issuance of non-bailable warrant does not mean that a person is proven guilty. The final decision on the charges related to the 2018 incident will be taken by the court only after the completion of the judicial process.

The case started in the year 2018, when a youth had complained about being assaulted and abused. Based on the allegations, the police registered a case and started investigation. After this the matter reached the court. Since Chandrashekhar Azad is currently an MP, the case is being heard in the MP-MLA Special Court of Ghaziabad.

MP-MLA Court is a special court set up to hear criminal cases involving public representatives. The judicial process of the old case related to Chandrashekhar Azad is going on in this court. Now after the non-bailable warrant is issued against him again, further legal action will be taken as per the order of the court.

Chandrashekhar Azad is a well-known name in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. He is the President of Azad Samaj Party and was elected MP from Nagina seat of Uttar Pradesh in the year 2024 Lok Sabha elections. After becoming MP, the hearing of already pending cases against him is continuing as per the prescribed legal procedure. This case of Ghaziabad is also included in those old cases.

In the case of 2018 in which a non-bailable warrant has been issued, there are allegations of alleged assault and abuse of a youth. It is for the court to finally determine the veracity of the allegations and the role of the people concerned in the case. At present the case is sub-judice and no accused can be considered guilty until the final decision of the court.

Due to the issue of non-bailable warrant once again, legal activities in the case are likely to intensify. Now Chandrashekhar Azad’s appearance in the court under the related process will be important. After appearing in the court, legal options can be used on their behalf. After this the court will hear further in the case.

Non-bailable warrant is considered a more stringent judicial order than a normal summons or bailable warrant. Its purpose is to ensure the presence of the person concerned before the court. After such order, the police and concerned agencies take further action as per the directions of the court.

Despite the matter being old, it has now come into limelight again because it is related to an MP. Chandrashekhar Azad heads the Azad Samaj Party and represents Nagina Lok Sabha constituency. In such a situation, political and legal circles are keeping an eye on the judicial order issued against him.

However, in the whole matter it is important that the non-bailable warrant should not be seen as a conviction. The court has not yet given its final verdict on the allegations related to assault and abuse in 2018. The court will take the final decision only after hearing the allegations and defense arguments and examining the available evidence.

At present, the eight year old case is again in the news after the MP-MLA Special Court of Ghaziabad has once again issued a non-bailable warrant against Chandrashekhar Azad. Now everyone’s eyes will be on the further hearing and appearance of Chandrashekhar Azad in the court. Further legal process in the case will continue as per the court order.
