Ganja worth 10 lakhs seized from tractor, was being smuggled by making a chamber

The police has taken a big action against drug abuse in the district. Ganja was being smuggled by cleverly creating a separate chamber in the tractor. The police raided the tractor and recovered 103 kg of ganja. The value of the seized ganja is said to be more than 10 lakhs. This case is of Sohatra village of Purur police station area.

According to the information, Purur Police received information from an informer that a large quantity of ganja was being smuggled by hiding it in a red tractor. On receiving the information, Purur Police reached Sohatra village. On getting the hint of the arrival of the police, the accused driver left the tractor near the Hanuman temple of the village and fled. When the police searched a red tractor without a number plate. During this, a secret chamber was found in the tractor, in which ganja was being smuggled by hiding it.

The police recovered 103 kg of ganja from the tractor, which is worth Rs 10 lakh 30 thousand. The tractor has also been seized.
