New Delhi (IANS) | A 16-year-old boy, who was recently released from a juvenile home, was stabbed to death by unidentified persons on the Delhi-Saharanpur highway on Wednesday. An officer gave this information. A senior police officer said that at around 10:28 am, Shastri Park police station received information regarding a dead body on the second pusta near pillar number 92-93 on the Delhi-Saharanpur Expressway, following which a police team reached the spot.

However, when the police reached the spot, they found the minor lying with knife marks on the left side between the chest, neck and head. Immediately the person was taken to JPC Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

His mobile phone was also found missing from the spot, the officer said. The boy’s mother was at the spot and told that her son was recently released from a reform home after four months in a theft case.

In the initial investigation, the police team found that the minor had left home on Tuesday night at around 10 pm to meet his friends.

Marks of a fight were found at the spot, the officer said. Appropriate legal action is being initiated in the matter.
