Cuttack: A total of 96.19% students have cleared the annual matric examination this year, the results of which were declared by Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, around 10 am on Thursday at its office in the presence of Minister Pramila Mallik.
According to sources, 5,12,460 of 5,21,444 students, who appeared for the examinations, passed. A total of 4158 students have passed with A1 grade, 29855 with A2 grade, 77762 with B1 grade, and 119120 with B2 grade.
Girls have again outshone boys in the exam with a pass percentage of 97.05 against 95.75. While 2,53,633 boys cleared the exam, 2,58,827 among girls passed.
This year, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur have been recognised as the best performing districts with 97.99 per cent pass percentage. Malkangiri district recorded the lowest pass percentage of 92.63 per cent. 3,222 high schools have recorded 100 per cent results.

The score cards will be made available at the official websites – bseodisha.ac.in and bseodisha.nic.in – after 12 pm. The students can login into the orissaresults.nic.in to check their results using their roll number and date of birth. And also download their scoreboards from the website. They will also be able to check their scores by sending an SMS OR10Roll Number to 5676750.
The annual High School Certificate (HSC) Summative Assessment-II examination 2023 was conducted from March 10 to 20. As many as 5.32 lakh students took the high school certificate examination in 3,218 examination centres across the state. In January, the board had released the Summative Assessment I result.
In 2022, the overall pass percentage was 90.55 per cent, with 8,119 students receiving the A1 grade and and 54,889 got A2 grade.
The sources further said that BSE Odisha will soon release the schedule for supplementary exams.
