9 hard-core Maoists carrying bounty of Rs 43 lakhs surrender

Malkangiri: As many as 9 hard-core Maoists have surrendered on Saturday. They have surrendered to the police superintendent of Sukma in Chhattisgarh bordering Malkangiri district of Odisha. A total reward of Rs 43 lakh had been placed on the names of these nine Maoists.
As per reports, nine hard-core Maoists, including two female ultras, have surrendered. They were carrying a total bounty of Rs 43 lakh on their heads.
Two of them had a bounty of Rs 8 lakh each while four of them had a reward of Rs 5 lakh on their head. A total reward of 43 lakh rupees was on the names of the nine Maoists.
It has been learnt that these nine hard-core Maoists were involved in many incidents including the infamous Burkapal incident. They have surrendered before Kiran Chauhan, the SP of Sukma in Chhattishgarh.
