Keeping in mind the possibility of middlemen and conchis illegally bringing paddy and selling it in the procurement centres during the purchase of paddy at the support price, a flying squad team formed by the district administration is continuously monitoring the situation. In this sequence, 200 sacks of paddy (80 quintals) were seized from the houses of two persons on Friday.
According to the information received, during the investigation by the joint team of Revenue, Food and Agriculture Department, 100 sacks of mixed variety of summer season paddy (40 quintals) were seized from the house of Ram Kumar Rathore in village Bacharwar Pendra as it was brought from Venkat Nagar, Madhya Pradesh and kept in the house, and 100 sacks of mixed variety of summer season paddy (40 quintals) were seized from the house of Balbhadra Rathore in village Bacharwar Pendra as it was brought from middlemen and kept in the house, and necessary action was taken.
