78 complaints so far on C Vigil App, resolution being done in 100 minutes

Greater Noida: To solve the problems of the people in Gautam Buddha Nagar, a high profile seat of NCR regarding the Lok Sabha elections, the process of solving the problems in 100 minutes is going on through the Election Commission’s C Vigil app. Since March 16, 78 complaints have been received on this app, which have also been resolved. Along with this, social media and other means of publicity are also being monitored. District Election Officer Manish Verma also took stock of the ongoing work in the Control Room, MCMC/Social Media Monitoring Cell on Friday. Manish Verma told that any person can complain on this app. Complaints about violation of Model Code of Conduct can be made by downloading this app from Play Store or App Store on mobile, uploading photos or live videos. You can also monitor people’s complaints by logging into the app with your mobile number. When a complaint is registered, a flying squad team is sent to the nearest site by the Returning Officer. He told that generally complaints can be made on this app related to distribution of funds, distribution of gift coupons, distribution of liquor, putting up posters and banners without permission, meetings without permission and giving religious or fanatical speeches. Manish Kumar Verma reached the control room, MCMC and social media monitoring cell set up for election work on Friday and took stock of the work being done and gave necessary guidelines. Also inspected the control room set up by the District Election Officer for election work. On this occasion, complete information about the process of redressal of complaints was obtained from the District Election Officer in the control room. The District Election Officer directed that the complaints received on C Vigil App should be ensured to be resolved within the time period of 100 minutes.
