Bilaspur. Police has arrested 7 accused of knife attack that happened on Sunday night in Sarkanda police station area of the judicial capital. Accused Munnu Khan, Rinku Khan, Akbar Khan, Asraf Khan, Salman Khan, Khijam Khan, Sahajad Khan badly injured 3 people by beating and attacking them with knife during Chhatti program due to mutual dispute, whose treatment is going on in the hospital. The condition of two of them remains critical. In this case, police has arrested the accused and presented them in the court.
According to the information, Omprakash Manikpuri alias Gabbar (23 years), father Dayadas Manikpuri, resident of Ashok Nagar Murum Khan, Sarkanda, had lodged a complaint with the police on February 2, that he was standing outside the house after eating dinner at around 9.30 pm, when Sanju from the locality came running and told that Shravan Sahu and Munnu Khan were fighting with people during the Chhatti program at Pappu Sahu’s house. On this, he went to the spot and saw that the above 7 accused were beating Shravan Sahu with kicks, punches and sticks. When Omprakash tried to stop the fight, Rinku Khan caught him from behind and Munnu Khan, with the intention of killing me, took out a knife and stabbed me repeatedly in the stomach, in the meantime, someone from behind also attacked him on the head with a stick, due to which he fell badly injured.
Applicant Omprakash also said in the complaint that all the 7 accused, in collusion, beat up Shravan Sahu and me with the intention of killing me and have fled from the spot.
