Dehradun Dehradun: Dehradun Police on Friday arrested five accused for carrying radioactive material and radiographic camera from Rajpur Road area of Dehradun district in Uttarakhand. These accused were arrested from a house in Brook and Woods Colony on Rajpur Road in Dehradun. The arrested accused are residents of Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh of Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun, while talking exclusively to ANI, said that the police have arrested five people from a house in Brook and Woods Colony on Rajpur Road in Dehradun, from whom radioactive material and radiographic camera were found.
He told that when the police tried to open the box, the arrested people told that it may be difficult to open it due to the radioactive chemicals inside it. The SSP said that the arrested people are residents of Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. SSP Ajay Singh told ANI that during interrogation it was found that the box of radioactive material with which these people had come to Dehradun was going to be sold in crores.
