5 cattle died, tusker elephant created havoc

The terror of elephants is increasing in Katghora forest division of the district. Last night, a tusker elephant separated from the herd reached a village named Barbatpara under Adsara beat of Pasan range and created havoc, killing five cattle. While three others have been seriously injured. After this incident, there is an atmosphere of panic among the villagers. korba

A group of 48 elephants is roaming in Kendai range of Katghora forest division these days. A tusker elephant included in this group got separated from the herd last night and entered Adsara via Jalke circle of Pasan range and attacked the cows and bulls of two villagers named Vijay and Ved Kumar tied outside the house in Barbatpara there. Due to which five died on the spot. Three other cattle were injured.

When the affected villagers gave information about this, the staff of the forest department reached the spot and got the post-mortem of the dead cattle done. The injured bulls are also being treated. Also, the case has been prepared and handed over to senior officials. The tusker’s havoc did not stop here but it reached Pasan village and trampled the crops in the fields.
