Police on Thursday arrested five more suspects with four .32 bore revolvers and one .32 bore pistol, which were stolen from a local gun house owned by Manmeet Singh on February 28.
After breaking the wall of the gun house, the thieves decamped with 16 double barrel breech loading (DBBL) guns, one rifle, four .32 bore revolvers, one .32 bore pistol and 58 cartridges of different types. The theft case is being jointly investigated by the District Police and Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF).
Tarsem Masih, DSP, Tran Tarn, and Harminder Singh Sandhu, DSP, AGTF, on Thursday said the suspects arrested today have been identified as Baldev Singh Vicky, Jaspal Singh, Princepal Singh and Gurdev Singh and Vipandeep Singh, residents of Kakka Kandiala. happened. Guru Teg Bahadur of Tarn Taran is a resident of Nagar. Surjeet Singh, resident of Kakka Kandiala, named in the case, had not been arrested yet. Police said three DBBL guns and 58 cartridges are yet to be recovered from the suspects. The police had already registered a case in this regard under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC.
